Big Brothers, Big Sisters: Information Session

A full circle, interactive, look at BBBS, their programming on Nantucket and how anyone can get involved!

Join Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod & the Islands, in partnership with the Nantucket Atheneum, on Tuesday, October 22nd from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Atheneum for a full view of the agency and programming on Nantucket. Since reopening programming on-island in January of 2024, the agency is looking to engage the community to learn more about their work! As a "non-four-wall-program" that takes place in the community, BBBS leadership and staff will be in attendance to present their program, process, outcomes and answer any questions. The evening will also feature a current Big & Little from the island who will share their story.

Who should attend:

• Parents & Guardians who are interested in learning more about enrolling a child
• Potential volunteers who are interested in learning more about the program and need
• School teachers, guidance counselors, social workers and other community organizations who want to learn about the referral process for kids they work with
• Local business owners who may consider giving discounts to our Bigs & Littles on activities for their "outings"
• Community Leaders who are interested in learning more about BBBS
• Potential Supporters who might be interested in investing in the BBBS mission on Nantucket
• Anyone!

This event is open to the public free of charge and light refreshments will be served.
