CONCERT: Stephen Porter

Pianist Stephen Porter returns to the Atheneum with an all-Schubert program, featuring two late masterpieces by this remarkable composer who died at the age of 31:  the rarely heard Drei Klavierstücke D. 946, and the final Piano Sonata in B-flat D. 960.  These pieces were written in the last six months of Schubert's short life, and reach the heights of visionary beauty and transcendence.  

Stephen Porter has performed this season in Singapore, India, and Paris as a resident of the Cité Internationale Des Arts.
