Have you ever dreamed about becoming a fashion professional? Jay Calderin wrote the book What They Didn’t Teach You in Fashion School, which explores nine keys to navigating a successful fashion career. In spite of the title, Jay also teaches a professional development course that the book is based on at the School of Fashion Design in Boston.

Join us for a conversation between Calderin and Nantucket fashionista, Jane Conway-Caspe on how to develop your edge in such a competitive industry.

Q&A to follow.

Free admission, but registration is required. Please sign up online.

Calderin is Co-Director of Education, Director of Community Relations, and an instructor at the School of Fashion Design in Boston. His work as a fashion designer has graced the pages of Vogue and Elle magazines as well as the New York Times Sunday Style section and been acquired by the Peabody Essex Museum to be exhibited in their Fashion & Design Gallery.
