Grief is a natural response to loss, yet many bereaved people report feeling misunderstood and abandoned by their friends and communities due to a lack of education about the needs of the grieving. Sharing Kindness, in partnership with local libraries and with funding from the Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM), is starting the conversation about Grief.
Grief 101 will cover “the basics” of grief: what it is, how it impacts our brains and bodies, and how we can support people in our lives who are going through it.
In conjunction with the presentation, participants are encouraged to browse the curated grief support resources on the Sharing Kindness website HERE.
