Alice Tangerini, Staff Illustrator at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution offers an illustrated lecture on “Botanical Illustration, Then and Now.”

Alice’s focus is on the through history of illustrating plants and how techniques used to draw plants in the past have changed to merge with technological advances in presenting plant images. She will also include the process of how plants are collected, catalogued and stored in the Smithsonian and finally end up on the illustrator’s drawing board.
