Program Description

Event Details

On Nantucket Island, salt marshes make up a significant portion of our harbor coastline and provide one of the best nature-based buffers to sea level rise and climate change impacts.

The Nantucket Conservation Foundation's Coastal Ecology Program focuses research and restoration projects on understanding our salt marshes and how they are adapting to change. Learn about the results of our oyster reef restoration, salt marsh health monitoring, and graduate student projects studying how Nantucket's salt marshes are adapting to climate change. NCF's ecologists and graduate students will talk about 3 different projects on Nantucket and their implications for future restoration efforts.

Free and Open to the Public.

Registration encouraged!
