Join Sean Latham, director of the Institute for Bob Dylan Studies at the University of Tulsa, and Charley Walters, island musicologist and radio host, for a conversation about the breadth and legacy of Bob Dylan's work.

Latham is the editor of The World of Bob Dylan (May 2021) a collection of 27 essays that profile how Dylan, who turns 80 this year, helped transform music, literature, pop culture, and even politics. In the book, leading rock and pop critics and music scholars address themes central to Dylan's work: the Blues, his religious faith, Civil Rights, Gender, Race, and American and World literature.

In addition to leading the Dylan institute, Latham is the editor of the James Joyce Quarterly and director of The Oklahoma Center For The Humanities.

Walters' album reviews have appeared in Rolling Stone, he owned and operated the island's music store, Musicall, for many years and currently hosts Island Blue Notes, a deep dive into Blues music that airs weekly on WACK.

The program is free admission, but registration is required. Please sign up online.
